We (Estivastudio) are in the short-list of the PDDC's “P_stop” contest!
For the ennoblement of the street and for the sake of getting rid of passengers boredom a public transportation art contest was hosted by Perm Design Development Centre, “PERMM” modern art museum and Perm Department of Roads and Transportation (featuring Marat Gelman and Artemy Lebedev in the jury, as far as we understood).
We have entered the short-list of the competition — going to delight the city with vivid colours of the series of four works.
The best point of our concept, from our perspective, is that it won't bore people around waiting for the daily ride to a work or an appointment being abstract, non-object and plotless. The print abounds in details diverse in bright colours — we hope it's saturation will prevent graffiti artist from their creative expressions (this being also the designer's aim). And thanks to brightness, the stop will be a better eye-catcher for the passers-by, looking for it in the city-mess.
The design for the “Crystal Cinema” stop.
We would also like to present our prints for the following stops: “Hypermarket Family”, “Technological Institute” and “Yablochkov street”.
