A fictional product for my Package Design 3 class taught by Christine George, where we were asked to redesign or invent a board game concept. I have experimented and conceptualized a new board game idea where I could incorporate different visual design elements, but still being a fun, meaningful, and a unique game. This is a word battle game concept inspired by the classic games, chess, scrabble, and hangman. Then, I chose four of the most historical warriors as the main characters to create a story with this battle idea.
Each warrior class has its own identity design with their own custom designed letterforms, weapon & shield designs and die-cuts, illustrations, and conceptual colors. Each of them reflect the unique personality and characteristics of their cultural identity. Additionally, I’ve designed a modern battle arena inspired by the Roman Colosseum, and a rectangular spinning sword inspired by a dice. This concept is summarized into a simple logo design, which communicates the initial story of the game. Read Less
