The Hershey Bears started out strong against the Worcester Sharks, scoring 36 seconds into the first period and then twice more after that. However, after scoreless but physical 2nd and 3rd periods, the Sharks caught up and tied the game. The game went into a shootout which Worcester won and earned a 4-3 victory in Hershey.
