W O O D E N S U N
Our task was to create an hommage to a chair design by the designer Marc Newson in the form of a luminaire. As we were immediately inspired by its form and design, we decided on the 'Newson Wooden Chair'.
Our goal was to establish common ground between the Wooden Chair and our lamp, based on utilizing the woods unnatural curved shape and the use of several parts arranged to a whole. We opted for a simple but effective construction of plywood, which creates a reference to the organic appearance of the chair.
Created as part of the 2D / 3D basic module while studying at the 'Dessau Design Department'
