Ornaments created from glyphs made with Garamond font.

 

The idea of the book was to design typographical ornaments that would replace classical illustrations.

I created eight ornamental figures dedicated to the most important characters from book ( they are showing their personalities in metaphorical way) and two big ornaments (over 120 cm long) which remind of famous, historical battles. The story is about the war between Poland and Ukraine, so i used also Cyrillic alphabet.
