- Wine Box Light
Bright Ideas for wood reusage.
- The Wine Box Light Project is a sustainable proposal to extend the lifespan of those wooden wine boxes that end up piled in a corner or incinerated. The main idea is to perforate a pattern on the box's walls and lit it form the inside to create a unique lamp, with a personalized design. This way we avoid having to buy a industrialized product which harms the planet in the fabrication stage of its lifecycle and reuse and recycle materials easily found at home.Enlight your creativity for a greener world.
- The first Wine Box Light Prototype, above, carved form a 3 bottles wood box, contains a short yellowish fluorescent tube behind a vegetal paper film that diffuses the light through the letters on the front and the stripes on the back.
- The Moulin Rouge Lamp, the second and last prototype for this project, was made from a large single bottle box. On its 4 long sides and its top, the words Freedom, Beauty, Peace & Love were cut to represent the spirit of the bohemian 1890s Paris shown in the film that gives name to this lamp.
