The window display design for this nature themed visual merchandising proposal used different elements of nature for different seasons. The variety shown in the different seasons can avoid the monthly shoppers passing by from being bored, to offer them something new every season, and to show them that nature is not boring, not just all about grass, but consists of many other things around us. It shows the important role of nature in our lives. Mannequins/Models inside the window display are somehow interacting or doing actions to addlife to the window display.
The Earth month window display used meteors, rocks and earth as the elements to be used for the season. It has a dark yet illuminating display which symbolizes what is done during earth month, saving energy and to try to influence the shoppers to participate on Earth Hour by switching off the lights for 60 minutes. With the rocks and the Earth combined, it somehow has a hidden message – “Earth Month Rocks”
The summer window display used the beach, which consists of sky and earth as the elements of nature to be presented during that season.
The Back to school season used wood as the element of the season. It is also somehow showing that most of the materials used in schools came from wood. Colorful college pennants are used, with giant school materials to add fun in the window display, withthe people interacting.
For this particular season, the rain, together with giant plants, are used as the element for the season. A woman is covered by a giant plant, which symbolizes that nature itself can protect us.
For October, forest is used as the representational element for the season, which perfectly suits Halloween. A pumpkin with carved Bossini logo is included inside the window display to avoid the mainstream smiley face pumpkin.
Sale season has the simplest window display design, as a silent salesperson, to directly communicate the main message to the shoppers passing by, -SALE. It is surrounded by lights to be able for the window display to loudly “speak” to or invite the shoppers. People inside the window displays are wearing the paper bag to add fun to the window display, symbolizing that their clothes might be sold out or whatever the passersby want to interpret it.
Another woody backdrop is used for Christmas, symbolizing solidity of togetherness during Christmas, and as for nature, how it protects us from coldness. And still, some of the elements inside the window display are in its unusual size, and playful, simply represent Bossini – be happy.
For valentines, grass is used as the representation of the element of nature. People inside seems to be lying and flying on the grass, with lying - symbolizing that we can rely on nature and how it gives us comfort; and flying - symbolizing how nature makes us feel light when it is around us.
