Nature is constantly creating art from growth to decay, it beautifully embraces various elements to bring out an aesthetically beautiful whole. In the past few years I have become increasingly curious about these tiny, intricate, velvety beings. each a new one with a distinct personality, colour and texture. As I began to see more of these everywhere I went, I realised that never did I encounter the same kind again. While trekking on the same route, my fellow trekkers were surprised how they blindly missed the brightest ones while walking on the same path as me.  For me, this leant a surreal charm to the documentation process. As if  the universe was conspiring to make them available to me, just when I sent out an intention to seek them. This was part reason for me to transcend the scientific names given to them and understand what these might want to communicate. For me, this series is an attempt to look at the extraordinary in ordinary. To break conditioning. To re-imagine. To unlearn and re-discover and move beyond the semantics surrounding the word algae. I'd like you to have your own names, thoughts and fairytales around these. If you wish to share them, I'll be very glad to embrace your story while I walk creating my own.
