Not your typical hip hop star. - I've been a fan of HOV since he put out his single Sunshine in 1997. Over the years I've watched this man break out of his rap star image into a powerful and influential individual in society. I admire his work from music to business ventures, from charities to personal philosophy. I honor him in this typographic piece made entirely of silver and gold leaf, by celebrating his humble beginnings in Brooklyn to his achievements beyond the hip hop world.
