Logo proposal for a Mobile App for Kids. The point of the App is music is easy and fun to learn. They wanted a character of smart kid, probably with round glasses, wearing a cool magical hat (the meant wizard hat) and the text of company name Whizzical. They did not want any refrence to music as part of the design. So I sketched out a kid wearing glasses dressd up like a wizard holding a magic wand, paired it with a custom typeface, and placed it in an icon shape. They felt the kid didn't look magical enough, wanted him to look mesmerizing and capable of doing magic. So went back into Illustrator, made the kid a little bit older, and determined, and creted a magic poof of power with the wordmark 'magically' appearing as if he conjured it.
