As an account of the ever-continuing present that marches forward into the future, the subjects long for a past inexperienced.  Inspired by Walt Whitman's "Pioneers! O Pioneers!" poem, the photographs look upon the contemporary American landscape (the places which hold so much of our history) and the new generation to inhabit it.  Saturated with symbols, the photographs become an amalgamation of our artifacts.
