When my husband (an engineer) and I were engaged, we knew our perfect invitations would be both a technical marvel and an objet d’art. After weeks of collaborative effort, the resulting invites satisfied on both counts.
The silkscreened exterior features an art deco motif reminiscent of our 1920′s theme, and the interior pages are designed with carefully selected illustrations and period type. The technical marvel of the project is undoubtedly the custom machined letter seal.

To create this custom wax seal, I sketched an original art deco motif featuring my husband and my initials, which he scanned to create a CAD file, and then machined into a custom seal out of an aluminum block on his CnC mill. The result — a beautiful collaboration!
