Project introduction
The project is to design a website for a new Chinese classic mahogany furniture gallery inPuyang City in China. The website is named as GUSE Mahogany Furniture Gallery. Guse means patina in Chinese.
The purpose of the website is to promote the classic mahogany furniture in the gallery to the local market of the city and increase the turnover with online orders. By providing relevant cultural knowledge of mahogany furniture, the website will also propagate the culture of mahogany furniture to the local customers.
The findings that I got from the user reserch were as follows.
1. Users need to be educated on how to distinguish different types of mahogany.
2. Users should be able to informed the latest market trend of the nahogany value.
3. Users would like to communicate with other buyers or even experts.
4. Users should be able to buy small mahogany products online.
5. Users want a simple navigation and layout.
According to the reserch insights, I designed the prototype with Adobe Photoshop and developed the website on the Drupal platform.
