Launched on Independence Day of 2009, P.i. aims to reawaken the sense of nationalism among Filipinos though the examples of modern day heroes. The campaign invited personalities that have manifested passion, skill, and accomplishment in their respective fields to participate in this call to arms and movement to affect a positive change for the Filipino. P.i. also partnered with YVote to help with the cause of getting as many people to register in time for the coming elections in 2009.
With the most familiar visual cues from the flag, economy of form was achieved by using the letters P & i to represent the 2 biggest elements of the Philippine flag. The separation through the use of color creates a visual hierarchy for viewers as well as retells their innate relationship of love, pride and confidence for the country.
