As an elective, I decided to take an industrial design course. For this project, my partner, Nikko Van Stolk and I were required to design a weapon. We came up with a sword made of plywood and acrylic all cut by a laser machine. It is designed with two handles to be held either as a normal sword or as a swinging doubled ended sword. Our intention was to have the whole weapon be cut out by the laser machine, but still have a handcrafted look.
