Through my constant efforts, contributions, features and exposure within the magazine this past year. last year I was asked to create a custom piece for the back cover. For this one I used a various range of tools and methods as I normally do but kept the background more muted and subdued to let the color scheme of the character really pop off the page. The piece began with a hand drawn sketch, which I inked with a couple different pen widths/types then scanned it and began coloring and layering in Photoshop. The background is a combination of different versions of "Wemerge" and their tagline I wrote with markers and pens which I mixed with some spray paint and brush/mix media textures I created on paper and scanned. The end result is a multi-layered visual journey you can get lost in.
