The Company Lab in Chattanooga Tennessee hosts a 48 Hour Launch event, which I was a part of in the Fall of 2011. During this event local professionals team up and work around the clock for a 48 hour time period, to help launch start-ups.
My team comprised of designers and developers working with a local councilman to launch a participatory budgeting website called We Budget. Councilman Andrae McGary wanted to give constituents in his district the ability to have a say in how the budget is spent.
I collaborated on the logo and website design.
citizens are encouraged to submit ideas for budget spending, hold discussions, and vote
our team was quite excited about the potential benefits for our city from the We Budget website
