The Development Centers are projects that cover several functions in some socially and economically depressed parts of the city. Their main function is the business incubators, but they also have educational activities, and comunity development activities.

We participate in two projects, in two diferent neighbourhoods in the capital city. Both are high quality arquitectural projects: one is the historical recover of a patrimonial building, emblematic for the zone, the other is a new building that gives the neighbourhood new arquitectural values.

Our project was to generate a wayfinding system according to the excellent quality of the ventures. Thus we designed a system of pictograms for the activities in the center, and elements to indicate de uses of the different rooms to guide the users. The aesthetics of the solutions were designed according to the closeness the centers should have with the comunity. To acomplish that goal we used a free drawing style in the graphic elements. The whole project shows a necesary sence of warmness, because the centers are future generators, the everyday time spent inside them, has to be friendly and contemporary.

The Wayfinding system uses diverse technologies to attend the needs of each message: baked enamel, screen printing, digital printing, vinyl cutting, and etched in bronze. Every element was designed considering graphic aspects and constructive and techonogical requirements of each piece.
