- State Library of Victoria
This project requires students to come up with three alternative solutions for the State Library of Victoria’s wayfinding system (Melbourne, Australia).
- Solution 1 and 2: Each level is split into a block. In order to indicate people which level they are in, I make the number of that level bolder and bigger, ; the side of the block is also painted to create emphasis.
Material: wooden blocks with printed text, which are painted on the side to indicate the current location of the viewer.
- Solution 3: My concept is to combine wayfinding arrows with the sofa. The backrest is constructed in an edgy style to match with the idea of solution 1 and 2.
Material: purple velvet sofa with yellow seaming line. Information is embroidered directly on the fabric.
