The "Waterscapes" series of patchwork landscapes was inspired by the St. Lawrence River, the many lakes and ponds tucked into the New England countryside, and the Maine seacoast. The ephemeral nature of water proves particularly difficult to capture in shapes alone, thus the stitching in these pieces gives a sense of movement, depth, and shifting color.
