Waterfront Barcelona is the first project I did for the CCCB (Contemporary Culture Center of Barcelona) and the ESARQ-UIC (Architecture University).
It was about to create the communication of the Final Projects exhibition from the ESARQ-UIC Architecture students in the CCCB.
The Final Project was located in the Waterfront, in order to try to change this area and try to make it mor profitable for everyone (more information here).
The name itself is explaining the whole communication. The brief said it should be really academic and that the students should be shown by the same way and as a group, not individually.
That's why I chose this wave-repetition, in order to show how the students one by one can not create a wave but, if they work together they can do it.
The font was also chosen by this criterion of non-highlighting.
This project was done for the year 2011-2012.
The exposition's photographer was Martí Andiñach (all rights reserved).
For 2012-2013, the location changed from the Waterfront of Barcelona to the Diagonal-Sagrera-Glories part of the city and it was named Diagonal Verda Bcn.
Both projects were directed by Jordi Badia and his team. Read Less
