"This is the highlight of the final year - a student-run production of a professional quality show that brings all elements of the Fashion program together in one event...This is the real thing; students invite designers, hire models, supervise media coverage, plan a budget, lure sponsors, and organize fundraising events. Their enthusiasm, passion, and pride can be felt throughout the evening."
- Alvina Cassiani, Dean of the Business School, Humber College
After being elected to the Project Management committee, my position was to assist in the organization of the year-end program show, where I supervised approximately 40 students in its planning, development, and execution. Specific duties included preparing, distributing, and collecting weekly progress reports to and from all teams, ensuring each remained on schedule, and acting as a liaison between all involved students, faculty, and outside third parties, which included the hired staging company.
For my work in this course, I received the Fashion Program Event Production Award for demonstrating an outstanding commitment to event production coursework and associated practical activities. I was also requested to attend the final show debrief meeting as Student Representative.
