    A viral campaign on the iLike application on Facebook to drive Facebook users to register to vote before the 2008 presidential election.
  • Summary:
    Our goal was to drive voter registration before the Oct 6, 2008 state deadlines. iLike created a custom contest where students at colleges across the country competed to win a free concert. The page included an embedded Rock The Vote form to register online, and provided tools to invite friends from your college. iLike secured the artists (Jason Mraz, Will.I.Am, and Wyclef), and the contest page included a video message from Jason Mraz encouraging people to participate.

    Results:
    Over its one-week course this campaign had a massive impact. Within days of launch, the
    campaign became Rock The Vote’s 6th largest source of voter registrations (competing with
    MoveOn.org, Facebook, and many other major affiliates). We secured over 140,000 pledges to
    vote and registered 5,000 new voters.
