VCRI was in need of a designer who could collect articles, advertisements, images and artwork from various sources and create a great design for their annual awards gala.
All typography and page artwork is modeled in Art Deco style, to coordinate with the invitation designs that were previously created. The entire booklet is 36 pages and includes image modifications, typography, layout, design and even a few advertisement creations.
The entire booklet was designed on a tight grid that extended from edge to edge of each page. The design layout rarely ever breaks the grid, in keeping with Art Deco style.
