Challenge
For the 2010 release of the Visual Studio wave of products, Microsoft marketing teams drove an initiative to completely rebrand the product line. During 2009, I drove the initiative to integrate refreshed brand visuals into the Visual Studio 2010 user experience. This encompassed a family of products, a range of visual identity variations and integration at several points throughout the products.
Solution
I participated in design reviews with the product marketing teams, provided user experience requirements and feedback and communicated brand information to all of the product development teams.
I created all graphic assets and design specifications for the development teams, worked with the localization teams to create templates and graphic production guidelines, and designed a new product splash screen experience.
