I designed and developed a portfolio website for Spark Studio shortly before their closure in 2010. Spark’s former Creative Director, Gary Domoney, later went on to found Visua, but rather than reinvent the wheel I collaborated with him to update and rebrand Spark’s short-lived website.
The website employs large full-screen photography on the home page, which is enhanced by the minimal interface. The internal portfolio pages contain samples of Visua’s work arranged in a horizontal grid format on a stark black background. So as not to clutter these pages, the text content and the menu remains hidden until user interaction causes them to become visible.
This sleek and minimal portfolio website reflects Gary’s approach and love of minimal and intuitive design solutions.
