I needed to design a brochure for a designer I wanted to come to Grand Rapids for a visiting designer series. As a successful film title designer I admired, I wanted to present his work in a way that would enhance his fast–paced transition style and beautiful scenes but not emulate his approach. Another challenge to overcome was that the only stills available were low–quality images, so I knew I would have to design to accommodate these limitations. I designed the brochure to become interactive and guide the viewer through the brochure, the with red ribbon traveling through the black like the movie theatre you would experience Danny’s work in.
