In today’s fast-paced lifestyle,
technology continues to move further
away from a physical, hard copy product
so much so, that recorded music has
become disposable, invisible computer
data.
Ironically, in the digital age people
have begun to abandon their iPod's in
favour of a deeper, more ethereal
connection found through vinyl records.
Vinyl allows listeners to form a much
deeper and satisfying relationship with
the music and its supporting visual
elements.
Today’s MP3 files seem to sidestep, and
to a certain extent avoid, the common
courtesies once found with the tactile
interaction and experience of vinyl
records.
Vinyl Etiquette re-establishes this
lost connection we once had with music
and looks to reignite the adventure of
being part of the process, rather than
being a mere spectator to noise.
