Video Tutorial Using Camtasia
I
created this short video using a recording software called Camtasia.
I added a royalty free MP3 and edited the sound within the software.
I found the song on live.freeplaymusic.com. I was given the task of
making the actual tutorial a minute to a minute and a half and I
could add an appropriate intro and exit. I took screenshots of any
still images that I wanted to be a part of the video. I also imported
into the Camtasia video any images that I had previously taken, like
the image of myself at the end. I added all transitions, like the
different fade ins and outs, and a custom zoom to show specifics.
Specifically,
the tutorial is for people that don't usually use Macs or for those
that are looking to cut down some of the time they would use on
searching for things. I show them that a quick and easy way to find
any file, if they forget where it is located, is to type in the name
of the file using the spotlight menu. I encourage everyone that
follows the tutorial to make sure when saving files they name them in
a way that they would remember. At the end of the tutorial I also
give them other options or ways to search for things. That would
include exploring the many views of the Finder window.
