Upon arriving at VA Mortgage Center.com in June of 2011, I was immediately assigned the task of taking on the rebranding of the company to Veterans United. The new brand had to be an update to the existing brand and was to reuse their well-known "flag house" icon. I updated the icon with the use of the Golden Ratio to help define scale and define relationships of the elements that make up the icon. Once the logo was complete, I set the brand guidelines, defined typography, color palette, copy voice, and photography standards. We were now ready to move onto the build out phase.
