In God We Trust – Melting Jesus Christ.
A mi entender tiene dos interpretaciones posibles. Por un lado (y con la que me siento más a gusto), es que el verdadero Dios que impera en el mundo hoy en día es el Dinero más allá de cualquier representación religiosa (de ahí el título: In God We Trust, el mítico lema en los billetes de dólar). Por otra, que una de las verdaderas finalidades del Cristianismo es la de acumular riqueza. Sin ánimo de ofender…

In God We Trust – Melting Jesus Christ.
In my opinion two possible interpretations. On one side, the God that rules the world nowadays is the money itself (that's why the illustration is called "In God We Trust"). On the other side, it could be that the true nature of Christianism would be accumulating wealth.

Fortune Cookie.
A principios de este año (2011) se me ocurrió una idea para una ilustración que tenía que ver con el panorama económico actual. A partir de la mítica y preciosa escultura de "The Raging Bull" que yace en Wall Street imaginé un poder Chino saliendo de dentro, un Dragón. Le puse el nombre de "Fortune Cookie".
Extrañamente unos meses después China compró gran parte de la deuda de EUA... será que tuve un momento visionario! Espero que os guste.

In the begining of this year (2011) I got an idea for an illustration based on the actual economical panorama. From the amazing "The Raging Bull" sculpture in Wall Street I imagined a chinese power getting out of it, the Dragon. I called "Fortune Cookie".
Strangely, a few months after China bought a huge part of the american debt... maybe I got a visionary moment! I hope you'll like it.
