Vancouver 2010 Participation Medals
I designed the Vancouver 2010 Athlete and Workforce participation medals with Chloé Douglas. The medals feature the Look of the Games, which I modelled in 3D for this project, and the Victory Medal artwork of Corrine Hunt.
An interesting obstacle of the project that we overcame was that the budget for the participation medals was based on what they cost for the Calgary '88 Games, in 1988 dollars. Our team persevered and worked tirelessly with the Royal Canadian Mint to produce medals of a weight and quality to reflect the achievement of being an Olympian.
