Valero Futuristic Fueling Station:
With the increasing push to move away from being so dependent on gasoline, I’ve created a concept design for an alternative refueling station. The roof is made up entirely of vegetation to increase the air quality around the building and help in the reduction of energy costs. At night each fueling station emits a blue light as an “indicator” that its limiting power consumption. Valero positions themselves as an enabler of freedom and progress, which I communicated through the form of the station as it appears to be floating when seen at night also telling people they are eco-concious.
Valero's New Logo:
The idea behind the logo is simple: Valero is a business that provides you with the means to do whatever you want - in one word Freedom. The design of the logo communicates the feeling of freedom through a fluid illustration of the mustang horse. The horse was chosen because it is an animal that’s always associated with being friendly, the soul of what makes cars move, and connects the company to their roots in Texas. A custom font was also created to indicate that feeling of being free.
