Production, Recording, Mixing and Mastering.

Vacanza is the first self-titled EP of a post-hardcore italian four piece band.
I've recorded them in their practice room based in Salerno, which was quite small and had some acoustical issues,  plus the band preferred to play altogether, so I had to manage to find the most useful spots to record and to have instruments' separation as well. I've tracked them using the following gears:

The mixing & mastering process was all done in the box with a Macbook Pro, using Reaper as a daw and various kind of plugins.

The band was very happy with the final product that they printed on a 7" vinyl. I have to say that they are great musicians and that it had been real fun to record them and try to make them sound as live as possible. That's why we decided that it was best to track altogether, without using a click track. The only overdubbing is some choir on the end of "Sasso" (that I performed myself btw). No editing has been done.

Vacanza is gaining quite a bit of success in the european hard-core scenes, playing many gigs and being covered in several webzines and music magazines.

They are: Manuele Altieri (vocals) - Fulvio Forte (guitar) - Mirko Salvati (bass) - Giovanni Schirru (drums)
