MOLT! investigates the layers of the modern human identity in the digital age and the blurring of their's physical and psychological borders and distances. Thereby it exposes through speculative perspectives the utopias of representation of our inner and outer being.
As a response to this topic, an interactive mask was created showing the layers of each person and molting it's identity layer by layer.
VISUAL MIMICS
People try to fit into today’s commercialized society. Under pressure of staying up to date to digital age standards, people unknowingly reach for mimicry – building a distance between their outside appearance and their personal inside. By removing the superficial surface, reveal the personality under the mimicry mask.
