Use-of-Force Training Helmet
Finished product at the end of the assembly line.
Mawashi designed the T-RED Use-of-Force Training Helmet to offer the highest level of protection against repeated impacts and Blunt-Trauma with a rigid shell covered by foam for an optimal protection of the defender’s skull and the attacker’s limbs. The rigid faceguard is covered by foam and wrapped in a ventilated mesh to enhance breathability.

A curved visor protects the eyes and assures a good visibility, a large field of view and minimizes fogging. An adjustable retention system stabilizes the helmet during movements and impacts. High mobility of the head with no restraints on lateral and front-back movements. An comfortable inner padding is interchangeable for different head sizes.

Brainstorming sketches to explore strong shapes and aggressive lines.
Preparation of the fiberglass mold made from a clay model to cast expanded urethane foam (A+B mixture).
Fiberglass prototypes of the helmet shell.
