I love intense colors, intricate patterns, seductive girls, surreal landscapes, and complete weirdo-noir randomness... Thus my art is a wild mix of all of the above, often laced with a dash of sarcasm or twisted humor while ridiculing the flaws of the machine.
The most challenging part for me is to find a healthy balance between creating entertaining eye candy and
fulfilling the artist's obligation of sending out meaningful messages. And occasionally there might not even be that - just whatever I needed to get out of my system at that time. Who says that there is such a thing as an artist's obligation in the first place? And if so, maybe our only obligation is to create ourselves and go nuts, artistically speaking, forgetting everything we ever heard about rules, trends, dos and don'ts.
Unfortunately our society is so hopelessly screwed up that my conscience doesn't allow me to not raise my voice. Even though as an artist I could say 'kiss my ass, it's my canvas and I can do whatever I please', on the canvas of life, where I first and foremost am a human being, I cannot afford to shut my eyes. And judging by a lot of the work out there from my fellow artists, neither can they. Thank y'all for doing what you're doing, let's keep using our talents to rattle the cages!
Peace and love
