I was asked to play with some backgrounds for the site.
This is the progress.

First test with 3d lantern and some basic matte painting.
Changed the logo on the latern a bit.
Also wanted to make it beige, to the color profile of this year. Quite the change.
And to make it more paper-looking. Like the moon.

In the end it changed a lot, into a small japanese village.
And we went for a more cartoon-feel to it. With more lowpoly models instead.
