US Marine Corps Photography

  • United States Marine Corps
I served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Combat Photographer, from 2000 to 2004. My tasks varied depending on whether I was stationed at a deployable or non-deployable unit. When stationed at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, California, I was tasked with documenting military ceremonies, events and recruit training. With the 1 st Marine Division in Camp Pendleton, California, I was assigned to infantry battalions and documented various military training and deployments. In wartime situations, Combat Photographers are tasked with documenting history. All our photographs and videos are captioned, categorized and submitted to the Department of Defense.

It was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
