This glass manifestation was designed to give the Masters' Study at UEA London a degree of privacy. I also wanted to show a sense of history and location as the building is in the heart of Spitalfields, so the map used is 18th Century – very different to today but easily recognisable from the route of the Thames. On the map, the building is located at eye-level on the door.

Working closely with Signbox, the frosted glass effect was achieved by a single print of white onto sheets of Opti-clear vinyl which were then attached to the reverse of each glass panel. The entire image was carefully converted from a 5GB greyscale TIF image to a single colour vector using Adobe Illustrator.
