Tyrrell's - Branding, Advertising & Packaging Design

Branding, Advertising & Packaging Design Project
This was a second year University project with the aim of creating a new product for an existing company that reflected their core values, ideas and 'essence'. In teams of two, we had to come up with the product, incorporate (and if necessary, rework) the branding, design the packaging, and propose an appropriate advertising strategy. We were randomly assigned the company 'Tyrrell's' who produce a selection of flavoured crisps, popcorn and other packaged snacks.

My partner and I came up with the idea of 'Tyrrell's Proper English Rain Bags' - lightweight waterproof bags designed to fit over the head and around the foot, to protect the wearer from England's famously random and often prolonged rainshowers.
This visual, and the one below, show an individual 'feet' Rain Bag and 'head' Rain Bag.
This visual, and the one below, show Indivivual Rain Bags, as they would be packaged for sale in shops. The sticker-tag acts as both packaging and a method of sealing the product.
This visual, and the one below, show examples of packaging for the tins of Rain Bags, and the cheaper Refill In A Tube products. Marketing the product in this way creates a collectable and fashionable edge to the Rain Bags.
