We were asked to take a walk around our neighborhood, and using the sensory information we gathered, created a poster, 24 inches by 36 inches. I took my journey on a sunday afternoon in a neighborhood with at least 4 or 5 churches with in a 4 block radius. The churches were oddly quiet for a Sunday and that inspired my poster. One church in particular stood out because of its vibrantly painted red doors, juxtaposed against the classic architecture of the church itself. The idea of church being an open place where all are welcome also juxtaposed against the quiet, rainy day and the lack of activity i saw.
