The prompt for this project was to design a calendar using only typographic elements. Being a huge country music fan, I decided that I wanted to illustrate twelve of my favorite country songs, using the lyrics as the lines in the images, as well as the outlines for the calendar dates. I used songs that somehow fit in with the feel of each month. To go the extra mile, I had the entire calendar printed on wood, and the outcome was very impressive.
This project was completed in my sophomore year in Sara Giovanitti's typography class.
