This was a project for my fathers 80th birthday, I have made many Adirondack chairs but this was my first two seater model and I chose a less common 'deco slat' back style.
Aged and well dried European oak is my wood of choice for grain and longevity and it's beauty increases as it ages and adapts to it's surroundings. No fixings other than beech wood dowels, the back support is removable for transport or storage. Three coats of exterior wood oil for weather protection.
