  • Two Cones
    by De Nigris Daniele
This is a little tutorial about how to build my last work "Two Cones". I hope you like it. Thank you for watching. Info: denigrisdaniele@mail.com
  • "Two Cones" - artwork 2012
  • Step 1 - Create a grid size 27 x 27 squares
  • Step 2 - Create 2 circles size 25 x 25 square and place following the black dots
  • Step 3 - Now create a square whose size is equal to the distance of the external points of the circles.
( The square will create is the  "base")
  • Step 4 - Enlargement of the base, and adaptation to the format 50 x 50 cm
  • Stpe 5 - Now we construct the inner cones : the gray areas delimit the area of the inner cones
  • Step 6 - Mark the points of intersection of the gray areas, with the 2°, 3°, 8°, 9° horizontal lines
    (look the black points)
  • Step 7 - Add the semicircles following the black points
  • Step 8 - Now we have created the area of the two inner cones
  • Stpe 9 - Now we must to build the external cones: mark the points of intersection of horizon and vertical lines (look black points)
  • Step 10 - Add the semicircles following the black points
  • Step 11 - Now we have created the areas of the two external cones
  • Stpe 12 - Now we must to build the thickness of external cones: mark the points of intersection of horizon and vertical lines (look black points)
  • Step 13 - Add the semicircles following the black points
  • Step 14 - Now we have created the thickness of area of the two external cones
  • Stpe 15 - Now we must to build the second thickness of external cones: mark the points of intersection of horizon and vertical lines. Add the arcs following the black points
  • Step 16 - Now the structure of the two conesis is ready
  • Step 17 - Background: delete the colors except the first thickness of external cones
  • Step 18 - Background: Add the gray square follwing the scheme
  • Step 19 - Background: delete the first thickness of external cones and complete the scheme
  • Step 20 - The composition is ready, now we start to paint
  • Step 21 - Apply the colors to background following the scheme
  • Step 22 - Apply the colors to background following the scheme
  • Step 23 - Apply the colors to complete the background
  • Step 24 - Apply the colors to the inner cones and in the space between them
  • Step 25 - Apply the colors to the external cones
  • Step 26 - Apply the colors to the thickness of external cones
  • Step 27 - I apply the shadow to the background to create the fusion effect
  • Step 28 - Remove all construction lines
  • Step 29 - Add the light on external cones
  • Step 30 - Add the light on inner cones
  • Step 31 - add the flat shadow to the thickness of area of the two external cones
  • Step 32 - Add the shdow of external cones
  • Step 33 - add the external shadow to the thickness of area of the two external cones
  • Step 34 - add the second shadow to the thickness of area of the two external cones

  • Step 35 - Add the external shadow of external cones
  • Step 36 - Add the light to background
  • Step 37 - Add a texture paper.... and it's ready!

    THE END
