ISTD "Tweet" – Briefing:

We want you to explore the world of 'social networking'. Create a network of participants. Expresses a solid idea, that informs us and shows your typographic skills.

"Twitter diary" – Solution :

I want to bring the digital world to reality and use social networking for good. Twitter users can download and customise a typographical designed diary based on their Twitter history and API data on an open source platform, which then can be printed as a book.

"Mac Miller" – Tweet diary:

To provide a visual guideline and to show the range of possibilities of the Twitter diary, I have designed a representative example of Mac Miller`s Twitter history as an PDF and as a printed version. I have picked Mac Miller as an example as he is a start-up US rapper who gained his fanbase mainly through Twitter. The cover is an adaption to the "Blue Slide Park" album cover, holded by a blue rubber band, that also represents the "Blue slide". The format is a long sheet folded like a leporello as an adaptation to Twitter (screensize and vertical scrolling).
Content :

The content is divided in 2 main parts (as it is on Twitter): LEFT = chronological flow of Tweets, important (white) highlighted Tweets with links to the right side; MIDDLE = Timeline with dates; RIGHT = additional information and API data visualisations (i.e. statistics, GPS-location, pictures, favourit Tweets)
