The works are a part of my master degree project called "TV pour les connaisseurs" and is putting into illustration the general storyline of a mexican telenovela, being interfered by popular tv and cinema american characters.
The illustrations have been exhibited in Centro Cultural Carnide, Lisbon, Portugal

The project Tv pour les connaisseurs puts into a series of illustration the most common story line we can find into a soap opera (now in our days being from Latin America or any other country allover the world), the poor girl is falling in love with the reach boy but to put more dramatism into the story the mean girl is messing with  their lifes.
The Main characters of the project are imported from a Mexican telenovela called “Maria la Del Barrio”. Maria the poor girl is falling in love with the reach boy Fernando, once this happens she is also becoming famous and rech and starts to be friend with high class people like the girls froms Sex and the City series. Then is when the gelousy of the mean girl Soraya, which also wants the boy, the fame and the high class is showed. She is hiring the most mean characters of the American movies like Freddy , Chucky, Godzilla, Dracula etc., to kill Maria.
Seeing this Maria calls for help, so Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Vandame, Tuxedo Mask and one of the Power Rangers are appearing to save her but only the last one succeeds, therefore Maria is also falling in love with him but underneath his mask he is the same man she felt in love at the beginning of the story, Fernando.
Before they decide to get married, Soraya is trying to kill her again with her one hands, having now a training from James Bond and Matrix movies but she is not succeeding thanks to Marias friends Rambo and Robocop.
After a lot of soap opera adventures the two lovers can get finally married .
