Recalling the old tin type photographers of past county fairs, etc., I set up my 4x5 monorail camera at local fairs, re-enacting the experience of times past. Both a photography project as well as a conceptual piece the intent was to not only take photos of those who requested a portrait, but also to view the emotional and desirability response to a low-fi proposition in a technological society. And of course, it is simply a fun project...!

For a small donation, sitters received one 4x5 Polaroid (or Fuji as 4x5 color Polaroid is a rarity) and I kept one for a publication currently in progress. Read Less
