Travel Republic is the highest ranking online only travel agent, independent of any tour operators and with full ABTA membership. With over 1 million passengers annually booking on the site, Travel Republic is one of the largest and well established travel agents available online.

Objective

Travel Republic’s requirement was for a new site design which reflected their award winning business. The brief was to modernise the site and to simplify the steps to booking. It was important that the site content was delivered in a clean and concise manner whilst retaining the in depth wealth of information and of course the overall the aim was to increase bookings and therefore profits.

Solution

3mil designed a site with consumer usability at the forefront. With a wealth of content, booking processes, search functionality and multiple search return options, the wire framing and information architecture process was essential to the project success.

Travel Republic wanted the users to be the heart of the site so we added functionality for Customer Ratings, Reviews and Top Tips. We also added “Tweet” and “Like” buttons to promote customer sharing.

Results

Created a frenzy of positive chatter through Facebook and Twitter on launch and is proving to be wildly popular with the existing and new audience. Since launch of the new site Travel Republic have seen an uplift in bookings of 55% and the site has also received a 5 out of 5 star review from Webuser magazine.
