Travel-logs is a start-up in the offbeat-travel space. They offer customised trips for every single traveler, so no two people will ever have the same experience. The site was developed by the client in-house.
The homepage follows the brand philosophy, and is customisable. Widgets on the right can be moved about, and placed as per the user’s preference.
Content pages follow a unique layout where the page is evenly split into a visual navigation system on the left, and the relevant text matter on the right.
A comprehensive set of options and preferences help the user search through the database of possible trips, and narrow down possibilities. From the variety of results, the user can choose any package that interests him.
Interactive maps enable the users to explore various activites within a location or area. The user also has the option to compare and contrast two areas simultaneously.
We designed many engagement activities within the website. Travel IQ is a section where users can choose 10 from a selection of nearly 60 images, and based on those choices, a travel personality profile is derived, that can then be mailed to friends or posted on the user’s facebook page.
A visual timeline for various cities was created as an online-engagement activity.
The booking page was designed so that the user could book an entire trip - including tours, flight tickets, hotel rooms, and guide services - or just pick and choose what he needs.
All transactions were stored in the user’s account page, for easy access.
The site aims to regularly include length long-read format articles, under different categories. This journal section features easy navigation between the categories and the articles themselves.
We designed an online shop for the user to create a customised calender, where they could (a) choose images from an internal database; (b) add important days to the individual months; and (c) choose from one of three visual themes.
A quirky 404 page was created, in line with the brand’s voice.
